A web page, which will be the focal point for information related to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Bel Air's incorporation in 1874, has gone live. Follow this link to go to the page immediately, or go to the "Government" tab on the home page of the Town website and click the link for "Bel Air 150." A volunteer committee, made up of Town staff, leaders of nonprofit organizations and citizens, is planning events for the anniversary celebration in 2024.
You'll find an application to operate a booth during our main event at the Armory on April 27, 2024 -- the application must be submitted by Nov. 1, 2023 -- as well as some text about the Town and the anniversary logo. The logo was designed by Nate Dorrell, a 2023 graduate of The John Carroll School in Bel Air. There also is a link to an application users can fill out and submit if they would like to hold their own event related to the 150th; let us know, and we can publicize it on the Town website!
Finally, visitors will see a carousel of a handful of photos of the Town in the present day. We are looking to add to it, so If anyone has vintage photos of Bel Air over the past 150 years, please send them our way!
Check back with the Bel Air 150 web page as our committee continues to prepare for next year's celebrations.
